No sitting out! I'm sure there are several of us who would be more than happy to take you along; and you already have one volunteer (pending approval for time off)! I have a seat if anything else falls through. Like Ted said, drive with us until we get to the trailhead, and especially if you're camping.

If that seat is still avaliable, I'd be happy to take you up on the offer. :)

If that seat is still available, I'd be happy to take you up on the offer. :)

It sure is! I will be camping Friday (and Saturday) night at Dead Horse Ranch. How did you want to go about the ride-along? I'm in the first group, so it would be an early drive from PHX on Saturday for you. Otherwise, you're welcome to camp as well with WHPIV, Xtiki, and myself. I'll just pick you up on Friday afternoon on the way out, if you're free.

You can put Conundrum and Family down for this one.

Thanks,
Adam

ETA - Put us down for the group leaving Phoenix, no camping for us this time out.

So if I don't plan on camping where would I go before the trail starts to hop in?

Conveniently, the pizza joint we're meeting at after the run is on the highway we're on, when entering town from Cottonwood. I say just park there so after the trail you'll be all set.

If you're going to park for any length of time in sedona you might need a red rock pass i think it's called.

I never needed one or bought one, but know they are required for certain areas.

I would like to join you for the run.  My Xterra looks like it needs ball joints and that won't happen before Saturday.  Would anyone mind if I tag along in my 4runner?  I Would love to hit the trail and meet you guys (haven't done a club run yet).

Thanks
Joe

I say park at the trail head. Only one way in and one way out for this one.
Took me a minute to see this. I think this is even better.

I don't think she'll need the pass to park at the end of the street. I know it's required for some trails, or extended stops on trails in the area. I can't seem to find this particular piece of info.

Here is a link to the Red Rocks info:  http://www.fs.usda.gov/detail/coconino/recreation/?cid=stelprdb5416207

You can't park on the street (Morgan Rd).  Not sure about parking at the trailhead, but if you are parked on the trail (more than 15 minutes), you need a pass.  Worst case, she could always park at a store or something (or at your camp).

EDIT:  Looking at their map, the Broken Arrow trail is marked by a "T" inside a black circle, and it says "No fee, no pass needed".
