  • PitSnipe (Kyle): Wow, I have not heard of this issue. 15 hour job for a $50 part is nuts. Hopefully someone that knows of this issue will speak up.

  • downs44: Got an 06 that just went through SMOD. Got everything replaced. Now my low oil pressure light is flickering on after the engine warms up and the truck is at idle. Doing some digging on the forums it looks like a common problem is the rear timing cover gallery gasket leaking and causes the symptoms. Looks like a 15 hour or so repair for a $50 part. Was wondering if anyone else has had this issue and any words of advise. To save some dialogue, the oil pressure sensor is about a year old and I changed the oil and filter after i noticed the light and that did not fix the issue.

Welcome from north Phoenix!

It's not budget friendly, but PRG Products sells a mid-travel kit:  http://www.prgproducts.com/shop/product/prg-tundra-variable-height-shackles/

EDIT:  The link says tundra shackles, but it is for the Titan Mid-Travel kit.

thanks!
Been racking my brain with prg's website now for weeksn titantalk guys are all about prg. I like their stuff and I also like dirt king's products as well. My goal is to just build a capable daily driven truck. I've had a ranger with full l.t. suspension and it was a handful to deal with on a daily basis, so I'm looking for just a simple suspension setup that handles well on the road as well. I mostly ride quads, shoot, and race nitro rc cars so a lot of my commuting is offroad on the weekends to get to the rc tracks (mostly fear farm rc raceway which is just a graded dirt road with the occasional pot hole or rock) to sycamore creek or vulture peak area. But who wants to go 10-25mph on a dirt road/trail anyway?

Instead of mid travel why no just get some radflo coilovers with PRG UCAs and a different rear shock better ride quality and less up keep

I like your style, I was looking at the radflo 2.0 coilovers v.s. the bilstein 5100's. I thought about the rancho quick lift but from what I hear they are junk. Also thinking of pairing the coilovers with the maxxtrac 4" spindles and the prg shackles for the rear.
I really like the icon stuff but they seem over priced to me?

I don't really have knowledge for either radflo or bilstein, I'm running the King OEM replacements. But I know which ever route you take it will be way better than stock, I've heard no bad things about either shock.

I have no experience with ICON but I believe their coilovers are 2.5" shocks. Keep that in mind when comparing prices to 2.0 shocks. I would think 2.5's would be better for a titan but I'm sure someone else is more knowledgeable in this topic.  :)

And welcome! Nice truck. Guess you have the "real" Titan Swap  ;D
