April 2015

(1/1)

PitSnipe (Kyle):
Welcome to the AZXC Newsletter

First off I'd like to welcome all of the new members. Feel free to schedule any events in the Member Coordinated Events section. Last minute events or spur of the moment ideas are always good. You never know who's out there itchin to go wheeling, camping, shooting, showing your rig at a car show, or just grabbing a beer.

Sedona's Broken Arrow Run is April 18th. This is always a very scenic and rewarding run. Click for more info http://www.azxterraclub.com/forum/index.php?topic=1929.msg16841#msg16841

There is a group planning on camping prior to the Sedona run. Click here for more info http://www.azxterraclub.com/forum/index.php?topic=1959.0

March 1st was the Table Mesa Clean Up. This is a great event that helps keep out desert clean. Thank you to all that attended!
Here is an excerpt from a TreadLightly! email that was sent out about the Table Mesa Cleanup:

PHOENIX, Arizona - March 4, 2015 - On March 1, nearly 250 volunteers braved the rain to help pick up more than 10 tons of trash detracting from the beauty of the popular Table Mesa Recreation Area north of Phoenix. The cleanup project is part of a larger effort to ensure continued access to public lands in Arizona by promoting outdoor ethics. The initiative - Respected Access is Open Access in Arizona - is supported by a coalition of partners including the Bureau of Land Management, Arizona Game and Fish Department, US Forest Service and Tread Lightly!, a national nonprofit organization that promotes responsible outdoor recreation through ethics education and stewardship programs.

"We had an outstanding turnout, especially considering the rain," said Tom Bickauskas, Natural Resource Specialist with the Bureau of Land Management. "It's a tremendous showing of support for our public lands. Stewardship is everyone's job. When people can contribute in this fashion it will keep public lands open to as many uses as possible."

AZXC held a Meet & Greet at Boulders on Broadway on Saturday March 7. We had a great turnout. These are always great to meet club members and put a name/face to a rig. Thank you to all that attended.

Thank you to Azfronty99 for hosting a camp fire meet up at Lake Pleasant on March 13th. We had a good turn out and saw the moon as we will never see her again.....

Donít forget to check out the ToTM section. The submission of your Xterra, Frontier, Titan, Armada, or Pathfinder are extremely encouraged. Any pic of your rig will do. We have had more participation in submissions and votes lately. Keep up the great work. Please vote for your favorite Xterra from March. Congrats to AZ-Ted for winning ToTM February 2015.

AZXC has had a lot of activity in the Buy/Sell area. This is excellent. If you have sold something or no longer WTB an item please flag the item so the admins can delete the thread.
