  • downs44: Got an 06 that just went through SMOD. Got everything replaced. Now my low oil pressure light is flickering on after the engine warms up and the truck is at idle. Doing some digging on the forums it looks like a common problem is the rear timing cover gallery gasket leaking and causes the symptoms. Looks like a 15 hour or so repair for a $50 part. Was wondering if anyone else has had this issue and any words of advise. To save some dialogue, the oil pressure sensor is about a year old and I changed the oil and filter after i noticed the light and that did not fix the issue.

Hello from Northern AZ
« on: April 24, 2015, 07:42:58 AM »
Hey guys,

I just bought my first frontier after falling in love with the capabilities of my girlfriends 2012 Xterra. I have had built Jeeps and old full size trucks, but I love the expedition qualities of Nissan 4x4's especially living out west. I have owned the truck for a month and have put Bilstein 5100's, Pro 4x 16x7 wheels, Pro 4x stock skids that I got a hell of a deal on, and new BFG All Terrain K02's on her. She performs great and I am very pleased.

Here are some photos of yesterday's expedition breaking in the new tires...

This is Senator's Highway outside of in Prescott National Forest. Nothing hardcore but fun with 31's and open diffs!

Enjoy

And the most common forum noob question ever: Whats the best way to post pics? Use an outside source like Flickr or upload attachments with this site? This site doesn't seem to like the size of my photos...  :-X

I use photobucket, when you upload a pic on photobucket it will give you a direct link to the image in your album then when you paste the link on this site use [ IMG ] your link [ /img ]. Thats how I do it. Idk how everyeone else does it but it works for me.

This is the correct way to post on forums.  There is a button that looks like a picture, if you click it it will add the "code" for the link, simply copy and past the link inside the code and you are done.  You can use photobucket, picasa, instagram, whatever, you just need that image url and the image must be viewable by the public or shared.

Hey Jim,  may have to come up and run senators Highway with you soon with the heat hitting down here.   Took my wife and oldest son to crown king a couple weeks ago and they loved it so would be cool to do another family off road.
