  • PitSnipe (Kyle): Wow, I have not heard of this issue. 15 hour job for a $50 part is nuts. Hopefully someone that knows of this issue will speak up.

  • downs44: Got an 06 that just went through SMOD. Got everything replaced. Now my low oil pressure light is flickering on after the engine warms up and the truck is at idle. Doing some digging on the forums it looks like a common problem is the rear timing cover gallery gasket leaking and causes the symptoms. Looks like a 15 hour or so repair for a $50 part. Was wondering if anyone else has had this issue and any words of advise. To save some dialogue, the oil pressure sensor is about a year old and I changed the oil and filter after i noticed the light and that did not fix the issue.

  • downs44: Hey! Newbie here. I met some of you guys at the F2GC event this weekend. I was with the mountain rescue group. Did not have my X up there due to some mechanical issues. I need some input and was wondering which forum I should put my questions in.

Crown King Run 2-23-15
« on: February 24, 2015, 10:04:03 AM »
Here is a small write up..
We arrived at the staging area around 6am. Took some air out of the tires and started our trip. We stopped at few abounded houses, ghost towns, old mines and some old cemeteries. There was some hiking involved, but not much. I don't think we hiked more than 1.5miles total.  We drove threw rain, sleet, hail, snow, rain, more rain, sunshine, then more rain back in Phoenix.  It took us 7 hours to arrive in Crown King.  We had some lunch and headed back to Phoenix. We did see an amazing Rainbow coming down from Crown King.  Overall a great trip.

A couple Abandoned houses. One with a pool and another with a train set?!?!?!

Treehouse

Fireplace right by the road.

Last view of Lake Pleasant

@ John Burro

Possibly Kentucks old cabin

A short hike up a hill to Bells Grave site

Fort Missery

4x4 by the side of the road

Castle Rock Mine on the left

Castle Mine

I just recently found out about Mendoza's accident. His shop was close to my house.

I think these are part of the Oro Ruins area.

Next couple pics are from Bella and Oro Ghost town and mine area.

Old damn

A ruin threw the rain/sleet.

Now for some snow

A short hike to Bradshaw City Cemetary

Looks like an awesome day of wheeling! It's always a treat when it rains in the desert! It changes the scenery in every way.

Love the photo of the green Xterra getting it three wheeling!

Thanks for posting! :)
