Camping Bear Canyon Lake 26June15 - 28June15
« on: June 28, 2015, 06:37:25 PM »
Thank you to Hammer for organizing this camping weekend. I had a great time. Weather was perfect and the rain was tolerable. It was great to see those of you that made the trip. Here are a couple of pics along with the link to rest of them.

Great pics Chris. I am going to assume that you didn't find a way to that secret road.

That power line road was taking me to far North of the lake.
When I hiked around the lake, I found two more parking lots. The secret road I saw that went to the lake, is blocked off at one of the parking lots.  Neither one of them you could drive down to the lake. You had to hike in.  The south side of the lake is awesome, its just a harder hike in.

About how far is it from the camping areas to the water?

We camped about 1/2 from the water. (1 mile drive)   There where other campsites as close as 1/4 mile from the water.
