First and Second Gen Tire Question.
« on: July 06, 2015, 04:12:56 PM »
Will a 265/75R16 fit on a first gen with out any issues?  What about mounting the spare ?  I was having issues getting a  265/75 spare to fit under the first gen X.  I was out camping, so I didnt put to much time into it.  I might of gave up to easily.

Will a 285/75 spare fit under a second gen with out any issues?  I know I will have to do the melt mod to fix the 4 tires on the X.

Thanks for any replies.

No idea on the 1st gen.

From what I have read a 285/75R16 will not fit under a 2nd gen. Now I haven't tried it. That's just what I read .

On the 2nd Gen a new 285/75/R16 AT KO2 would not fit in the stock spare tire compartment on my 09'. It is just a hair too big.
Roads? Where we're going, we don't need roads.

I fit a 285/70/17 cooper atp tire in the stock spare tire compartment without issue.
