Lake Day Sunday July 19th
« on: July 14, 2015, 08:16:55 PM »
So I took the kids to a last minute trip to Lake Pleasant last Sunday. They had a blast. So I figured Id do it again this Sunday.

So I propose a lake day around 1pm. This way I can get morning naps out of the way. I plan to grill something depending how many people show up.

I am planning on the usual area at the north end of the lake off of Cow Creek Rd. We'd just have to pick an empty cove.

Castle Hot Springs road north. Then a right on Cow Creek Rd. The air down/ staging area for CK is at that intersection.

would you be able to drop a pin on maps and post a pic of where the "end" is? I may not be able to make the drive up with everyoen but could possibily come up later.

Castle Hot Springs road north. Then a right on Cow Creek Rd. The air down/ staging area for CK is at that intersection.

That area is technically closed for staging (they closed it a few years ago), but people keep removing / vandalizing the Closed signs.  Not a big deal if you are just airing down and moving on, but I for one, would not park there for hours at time.

I wish I could make it to Pleasant this weekend, but I had already made other plans.

Here is where the trail starts.

 33.939761, -112.314735

At each fork along the trail keep left. As you get close to the water you will see all of the coves. We will be in that area.

This is the area that I want to end up. It all depends on how many people are in the area.

Yeah,
it was a good time. Jeff was first out there. The water was so warm.  My kids enjoyed the water. We ended up running into  Stoic V on the way out.
Gonna have to do it again soon.

Sorry I didn't text you guys to tell you I was coming. I didn't think there was cell service on the North end of the lake.

I found my own little island to park on. The weather was real nice after it rained.  My son, dogs and I hiked around the lake for about an hour.
