Cool thanks for the info Tim.  ;D
No problem! See ya out there.  ;D

Keep an eye out on Channel 12 News over the next couple days. We did an interview with Lin Sue Cooney for a special about the cleanup.

Here is an article about the cleanup from ABC 15: http://www.abc15.com/content/entertainment/localevents/story/Love-the-Arizona-desert-How-you-can-help-keep-it/xipouHyGPU6Y6C1VKI-f_w.cspx

Two weeks...
Also... that day is Wally's Birthday.  ;D

Let me know if anyone wants to meet at the Shell at McDowell and Country Club so we can roll in together.

Also, if there are any west siders taking the 10 out and want to meet somewhere too, let me know.

In the past, we've had everyone meet at the Baja/Conoco Gas Station on the east side of SR-87 just opposite the Ft McDowell Casino (just a little bit north of the instersection of SR-87 / Shea).  I think we should meet there at 8:00am, so we can all convoy to the cleanup.

Historically, we try to get to the cleanup check-in point by 8:30, so we can sign in and get to our spot before the crowds start showing up.

Count me in!  I usually take Frank Lloyd to shea to the beeline from the NW side, so across from the casino or at Shea and the beeline sounds good.  Careful PV have a bit of a speed trap about a mile before the beeline, speed drops about 10 mph from the rest of shea (west).   >:(

I just heard from Bill Burke who will be at the cleanup to help fill some bags! He is also bringing out a bunch of items for the give away! What a guy.

Sounds great, Ted, we'll see ya there just a few before 8am for coffee and then roll out at 8.

Godsmack: If the drive is hard being that early, then come later... if you roll in at noon if you like, I'm sure that there will still be plenty to do. Whatever you offer, it will be appreciated by all!
There is sketchy cell service up there, so you'll have to either call on CB, Ham, or just drive around and look for us when you get there. :-)

I will be there, at the meeting place at 8.

I will be bringing a plastic trash can to aid filling up the trash bags.
Learned last year that holding a plastic bag and trying to put the kind of trash found out in the desert into them while the wind blows is just a PITA.
Bring a plastic trash can and line it with your trash bag, you can toss debrin in and fill the bag up much faster and easier.
Just a recommendation.

THanks Penski61!

1pm-3pm Hot dogs and pizza will begin being served for lunch. Drop by as you bring a load of trash to the dumpsters.

3pm- We will hand out one raffle ticket to EVERY volunteer present for the give away. You must be present and listening to your number being called out to win!! :)
