  • downs44: Got an 06 that just went through SMOD. Got everything replaced. Now my low oil pressure light is flickering on after the engine warms up and the truck is at idle. Doing some digging on the forums it looks like a common problem is the rear timing cover gallery gasket leaking and causes the symptoms. Looks like a 15 hour or so repair for a $50 part. Was wondering if anyone else has had this issue and any words of advise. To save some dialogue, the oil pressure sensor is about a year old and I changed the oil and filter after i noticed the light and that did not fix the issue.

Hello All,

I joined this website almost a year and a half ago, but I forgot to introduce myself. I just sent in my dues via paypal, so I guess I'm official.

I drive a 2012 Nissan Xterra S 4WD in Lava Red, which I've had for 2 years now. My X is stock except for an aftermarket CD receiver and a set of BF Goodrich All-Terrains, I might do some modding in the future.

I live down in Yuma, so I spend a lot of the winter exploring and camping in the Kofa Refuge. During the summer I spend a lot of time along the Colorado River tubing, swimming, and occasionally kayaking.

That is very true. It hasn't caused any problems yet, just requires a nice wash of the outside and a wiping down of the interior.

Good Stuff! Yes Southern  AZ has many destinations.  I have not made it to Bisbee yet , but I like the Area down there. Many Ghost Towns  to explore  with a rich history. Not to mention  many Ghost Stories to match.

Belated  welcome. I am a Long distance member, I use to live in Chandler,(7 years) but 2016 I will return back to AZ.  Enough of Flat land  South Florida.
