  • PitSnipe (Kyle): Wow, I have not heard of this issue. 15 hour job for a $50 part is nuts. Hopefully someone that knows of this issue will speak up.

  • downs44: Got an 06 that just went through SMOD. Got everything replaced. Now my low oil pressure light is flickering on after the engine warms up and the truck is at idle. Doing some digging on the forums it looks like a common problem is the rear timing cover gallery gasket leaking and causes the symptoms. Looks like a 15 hour or so repair for a $50 part. Was wondering if anyone else has had this issue and any words of advise. To save some dialogue, the oil pressure sensor is about a year old and I changed the oil and filter after i noticed the light and that did not fix the issue.

Butcher Jones test run
« on: February 13, 2016, 05:30:22 PM »
Took a short trip to Butcher Jones to test out the 7" suspension and ran into a stuck f150 on the side of the road so turned around to give him a hand.

Nice save, I bet he was happy to see you.
Roads? Where we're going, we don't need roads.

Nice save, I bet he was happy to see you.

He had some flat wood under the tire and was getting ready to start digging saved him the time and pulled him out less then a minute.

Well i recently lifted the back another 1.5" but since i went so much higher in the front i have to start in the back.
Not sure if going wider in the back though but a standard drop bracket and longer shocks is alot easier.

I sure Ford Motor  Company cringed after Nissan of all things pulled a Ford Truck!

The Horror of it all! :o

The Your truck is coming together and it  looks Great!  I do want to dwell on a few very points.

There is too many folks in this  sport has their priorities wrong and all of us is guilty of this to some  extent.
Thumper's truck is well thought out in starting with options that is directly advantageous to the  application and environment in which it is intended to be used.
I some time shutter with the ideas I had as a teen in Missouri by adding wood Blocks and modifications that would be deemed unsafe by todays stanards! :'(
Choosing the right Suspension first than cosmetic is important to not only achieving the less travel paths, but safety in the desert.  Getting home is the first consideration.

That poor guy in the 2wd ford is lucky and hopefully has earned a valuable lesson. He was lucky you appeared from nowhere! 8) 8)
