Thank you to those that reached out and visited while I was in the hospital. I still have a long way to go, but I will be back on the trails soon.

Figure I'd introduce myself here finally, now that I've been on a few runs with the group.

My ride is a 2004 Pathfinder SE 4WD (aka R50), bought used as a birthday present in 2014.  I previously had a mildly-upgraded 2008 Wrangler X 4WD 2DR, but traded it in when the 2nd kid was coming around.  Fun vehicle, but a very impractical one.

The R50 had some upgrades when I got it, namely OME springs, struts, and coils all around; sliders; and front and mid aluminum skid plates.  Beyond that, it was well kept and fairly stock.

Since then, I've added another 3" of lift; installed an OE rear tire carrier from a prior body style; installed front ARB and rear TJM air lockers (previously ran a front Lokka and re-packed rear LSD); installed an on-board air system; regeared it to 4.636; and installed rear disc brakes from a WD21 Pathfinder (AFAIK, I'm the only R50 having done it).

If you think your Nissan has poor aftermarket support, try owning an R50.  It is THE bastard stepchild of all 4WD Nissan trucks and SUVs to date.  You'd think with the same beefy drivetrain (and with the HD AT only found in later models) as all other 90-04 trucks/SUVs, the only high-pinion R200A axle ever, a more-powerful engine in the VQ35DE (even more so than the VG33ER), and a 4-link rear would earn it some respect.  Nope—it's all a negative when only two possible front gear ratios exist, all other VQ35DE engines are completely different, and it's all on a unibody with crappy MacPherson front struts.  I'll tell you what though: it's got power, traction, and drives like a dream.

Anyway, here's how it sits today, an obligatory flex pic, and the reason I don't run Duratracs any more:







I usually like the stock look, but it's overdue for front and rear bumpers and a couple more inches of lift.  All of it will have to be custom at this point...all in time.

Looks good!  I really have always had an affinity for the old pathys.  They were capable and not too big for my preference.  Great job, can't say I've seen another locked front and rear.
