...if anyone remembers where they camped in Cottonwood last time that worked out well.
I wouldn't mind Cedar Flats, Schnebly is too close to the freeway for me. I heard traffic all night last time. You can also camp anywhere west of fr525, there is a spot I used to hit just outside red rock, but it wouldn't be big enough for us. Add the fact that I can never seem to get out of town early on a Friday, and it makes meeting up difficult. Anyone have HAM in the Vegas group?
Even if I get everything done (35's and body lift), I don't have armor in the middle or rear of the truck. I would love to give the rear locker a good test. Again, this will be a last minute decision. David

No HAM yet, a few of us are studying for the test at the moment. We would be happy to meet up with any of you AZ guys interested in dispersed camping as a group (no worries if you don't want to). A few of us will be pulling the X, is FR618 suitable to be driven with a trail out to Ceder Flats road? I was thinking of picking it up at the offramp of the 17 that opposites 179. Because we are going via Flagstaff and also pulling, I was hoping to keep our campsite relatively close to Sedona without going too far south. By the way thanks for the help!

I recall the 618 being very well graded and easily passable, the side roads however could become a bit of an issue while towing. From google maps at lease cedar flats looks very well graded as well, and there appear to be pull offs which could be camped easily. I wish I had better knowledge of the area so we could have an exact meeting spot as I'd like to camp too. That is why I was asking about HAM, I'm sure once you are out there cells will be useless.
