  • downs44: Got an 06 that just went through SMOD. Got everything replaced. Now my low oil pressure light is flickering on after the engine warms up and the truck is at idle. Doing some digging on the forums it looks like a common problem is the rear timing cover gallery gasket leaking and causes the symptoms. Looks like a 15 hour or so repair for a $50 part. Was wondering if anyone else has had this issue and any words of advise. To save some dialogue, the oil pressure sensor is about a year old and I changed the oil and filter after i noticed the light and that did not fix the issue.

Oh have no issues I've done it 3 times usually once a year. I just wanted to try a new trail and little less challenging was all. I was being lazy   pic from last year.

Sorry for the late reply, don't check in much these days.

It was toward the end, really the end of the trail by the waterfalls, that crushed granite and super slippery off camber spot I tried to turn around on just took me for a ride down the mountain.

Insurance sucked, I missed the GAP insurance by one month so it was just a payoff and nothing to show for 3 years of payments. (including the prior '03 SC that I traded in for it.)

I was the only one in the vehicle and had no injuries except a small spot on my right arm where I think my cooler or something in it had hit me. SWANkY got me home safe and sound and all I had to pay was fuel money, but the guys were awesome and chipped in so I added to it and gave it to my hero that brought her home. Seatbelt saved my life.

I rarely talk about it, kind of a sore subject. lol

My current X is coming along though, just have to get things done. Currently replacing the headliner and a list of stuff.

Good luck on the Run, I personally don't wish to tempt that trail again, but 4 feathers was a neat area, but could be rather rough.

I can do Saturday.
I just picked Sunday due to the earlier posts..

Super short notice Wednesday is already here :o

I am willing to "Lead" Tucson Wash (at mammoth az) this Sunday 5/15. I have never done it though, have tmobile, and dont have CB...

You need a state land permit. I will be following the Guide to arizona backroads and 4 wheel drive trails route...

For rough details see the below link, I do not think it is not the exact route I will be running though.
http://www.experience-az.com/adventures/4wd/tucsonwash/tucsonwash.html

If anyone wants to join this Sunday I can meet you at the Circle K at mammoth at 10am, and depending on sunlight might do some willow springs road exploration. PM me for my phone number.

Im down, any chance we could go Saturday?

I will PM you my cell phone #, do you want to start a new thread in member coordinated events about this trip to see if anyone else wants to go? How many other people are going right now?

I would still like to run Chivo Falls again sometime this year.

Sorry Brent i tried to gather some people but people have their own plans and i don't know any trails in Tucson area. :/

Still count me in to do Chiva Falls.

We can still wheel up north if it gets too hot down here.
Was just in Payson and it was only 85° mid day so we still have time.

Maybe a trial exploration trip around the Catalinas, or Mt. Lemon with an overnight camp?
