  • downs44: Got an 06 that just went through SMOD. Got everything replaced. Now my low oil pressure light is flickering on after the engine warms up and the truck is at idle. Doing some digging on the forums it looks like a common problem is the rear timing cover gallery gasket leaking and causes the symptoms. Looks like a 15 hour or so repair for a $50 part. Was wondering if anyone else has had this issue and any words of advise. To save some dialogue, the oil pressure sensor is about a year old and I changed the oil and filter after i noticed the light and that did not fix the issue.

4-4-16
I left early morning on Monday the 4th.   My main destination was Pacheta falls in the White Mountain Apache Reservation.    The roads just opened on the 1st, so there was still a ton of snow on the roads.     I drove in at White River and came out near Sunrise Ski Resort. 101 miles of forest roads.

A great view from the highway. (I believe its the Black River)

How clean the truck started.

I was able to drive over the snow drifts in the morning.

Road conditions.

Maverick Ghost Town

Near Maverick

Pacheta Falls.  130ft tall.  Amazing falls out in the middle of nowhere.  It also looks better in summer, when everything is green.

Drift Fence Lake.

On my way to another hike, I high centered the truck.  I wasnt driving on top of the snow anymore.

4-15 Schnebly Hill/ Sedona Trip.
I drove half way down to Sedona on the first day, I did a little hiking.

A little snow from the first night

My Ex brought my old first gen up tto Sedona on the second day.  This was on the way to Devils Bridge Hike.  My ex made me drive up on the rough parts.

Both Trucks at the trailhead.

Devils Bridge

Oak Creek with the pups

The log I pulled out the day before

That log on fire.. It burned well for over 6 hours.

The third day I drove to Howard Mountain

The view from Howard Mountain.

4-26 Mount Graham.
I took the pups up for a night of camping and a day of hiking.. I have never been to this area before.  It was cold and windy. 18F that night.

Cold morning hike around Riggs Flat Lake.

Campsite. A little morning snow.

I slept in my truck, but found a little shelter to cook some breakfast.

Some of the hiking

So many times that X sees snow and mud i think its time to invest in a winch lol.
Nice pictures. How many miles have you put in the ko2s?

I have 10k miles on the KO2s.  They look brand new. I should easily get the 50k they are warrantied for.

If I would have brought my shovel, I would have been out of the snow in 1/2 the time.
Now that I have been offroading more than hiking, I have been looking at winch options.   Especially since I do a lot of solo trips.  For the time being , i just bought some TJM traction treds.

Amazing pictures, looks like you had an adventurous weekend.
Roads? Where we're going, we don't need roads.
