  • PitSnipe (Kyle): Wow, I have not heard of this issue. 15 hour job for a $50 part is nuts. Hopefully someone that knows of this issue will speak up.

  • downs44: Got an 06 that just went through SMOD. Got everything replaced. Now my low oil pressure light is flickering on after the engine warms up and the truck is at idle. Doing some digging on the forums it looks like a common problem is the rear timing cover gallery gasket leaking and causes the symptoms. Looks like a 15 hour or so repair for a $50 part. Was wondering if anyone else has had this issue and any words of advise. To save some dialogue, the oil pressure sensor is about a year old and I changed the oil and filter after i noticed the light and that did not fix the issue.

  • downs44: Hey! Newbie here. I met some of you guys at the F2GC event this weekend. I was with the mountain rescue group. Did not have my X up there due to some mechanical issues. I need some input and was wondering which forum I should put my questions in.

« on: May 12, 2016, 03:36:57 PM »
Moving the below from the itching for a tucson thread

Super short notice Wednesday is already here :o

I am willing to "Lead" Tucson Wash (at mammoth az) this SATURDAY  5/14. I have never done it though, have tmobile, and dont have CB...

You need a state land permit. I will be following the Guide to arizona backroads and 4 wheel drive trails route...

For rough details see the below link, I do not think it is not the exact route I will be running though.

If anyone wants to join this SATURDAY I can meet you at the Circle K at mammoth at 10am, and depending on sunlight might do some willow springs road exploration. PM me for my phone number.

Huge thanks to Dylan for leading this trip. I have been wanting to explore this area for a really long time. I finally got to see what the Narrows aka Mini Box Canyon was all about. There are a ton of little side trails to old mines everywhere in Mammoth. We had some minor trail carnage but 14Frontier came well equipped and prepared. I stuck about 5 plugs in the tire and it probably could have taken 5 more. Super fun trip I love exploring these old mining towns. My family is from the Kearny area (Sonora, Barcelona, Ray) so I have heard about all these little towns in stories growing up. Its hard to see it now but from the stories I heard these were booming  little mining towns in their day with a lot of activity.

Roads? Where we're going, we don't need roads.
