Dash Lights question
« on: June 07, 2016, 06:26:37 AM »
this has been happening for about a year periodically my gear indicator  and odometer orange led screen will go blank. It keeps the trip odometer running while its out but its completely blank. then i will shut off the X turn it back on and it's back all good. in the past year it has happened about 10 times but it always comes back. any clue?

Sounds like the lcd screen is turning off. Might be going out or loose plugs.
I know GM is known for the green lcds to dim and go out

no i have never. I sometimes have a issue with getting into 4wd low but i don't know if that's operator error or not.

sounds to me your ipdm is going out. Once that goes out, you odometer wont work, abs wont work, 4wd wont work, trip computer wont work haha. lots wont work. and to get into 4lo you just need to get into neutral and not be moving.
