Wow!  We had a great turnout tonight.  It was good to see some new faces, as well as some familiar ones.  Special thanks to Wallly and First Class Autobody for hosting the meeting.

To recap the meeting:

Our January Xcursion will be at the north end of Lake Pleasant on Jan 30th.  Some people will camp out on Saturday night, and possibly make another run Sunday morning.  Brenda will provide additional details in a separate thread.

Our February Xcursion will be the Four Peaks Cleanup.  See this thread for additional details:http://azxterraclub.com/forum/index.php?topic=228.0

Fangars donated several items to be raffled off with the money going to the Four Peaks Cleanup.  Many tickets were sold tonight, and we will also have the raffle tickets available at the January Xcursion.  The raffle will be held at our cleanup spot during the Four Peaks Cleanup, and we will donate the money at the end of the day (during the "Awards" ceremony).

Our February Meeting will be held at the Car Show on the West Side on Friday, February 19th.  Victor will provide the details in a separate thread.

Our March Xcursion/Meeting will be our annual Chili Cookoff.  Place/Date/Time to be determined at the February Meeting.

Looking ahead to later in the year, we volunteered at the Dirty 6 Mud Run last year, if they have it again, we may want to consider this event for our April Xcursion.

In May, some of us will go to GONE Moab.  See this thread for details:  http://azxterraclub.com/forum/index.php?topic=153.0

For those of us who can't make it to GONE, we may want to consider a trip up north (Sedona run?).

August is our Fat Tire Run (Xcursion/Meeting).  This annual event is a 60+ mile mountain bike ride from Flagstaff to the Grand Canyon.  We provide trail support for the riders.  This ride benefits the Toys for Tots program, and last year, AZXC/SWANKy raised $1,000 for the cause.  This year we would like to become an Official Sponsor (which only costs $500), and get our club name on the T-Shirt.  I'll check to see when we need to put up the money for this event.

December is our annual light parade / XMas party / white elephant gift Xchange.

Obviously, we don't have the entire year scheduled out, but we can do that as we go along.  Any and all suggestions are welcomed.

Thanks again to all those who attended, and for those who couldn't make it, we hope to see you next time.

Prizes are as follows and will be drawn in this order:
4th Monster Hat and Shirt (I'll have to check on the size, but I think it was a XL)
3rd 2010 Gen 2 Calendar
2nd Gen2 Xoskel Light bar
1st Grand prize $100 Certificate toward a purchase at Xoskel
2nd is more of a bracket then a bar, its the prototype of the Bumper Mouth Bracket seen here. http://www.xoskel.com/BumperMouthBracket.html

Other helpful images seen here. http://www.flickr.com/photos/fangars/sets/72157618223971409/show/

No apologies necessary, its all just semantics anyways.
Bar, bracket or even "light thingy" its all good.

David from DCB Adventure emailed me tody about the Dirty 6 Run, whoever wants to take point on this email him at the address below:

Tim, my man! How have you been? Are you ready for fun and games?

I met with the folks at Rawhide this last week and we redesigned some of the obstacles... I haven't done anything with yours... what changes did you have in mind for the first obstacle?

Are your folks still planning on this?

Thanks!

I didn't go to this event last year. Does anybody have any interest in doing it this year?
