If you guys want to do FJ, this is what I would recommend.

All - Meet at FJ Flag pole staging area

2WD Group -  go to camp spot via Florence Kelvin Highway optional Wash/river/Copper basin rail road bridge/Rock Building/ Mine shaft/ Cochran Ghost town exploring, meet at camp spot

Stock 4x4 group - do box canyon North to South maybe optional Martinez Mine Hike, take Florence Kelvin Rd to camp spot

Built 4x4 group -  enter North Box Canyon split off to do trail "past coke ovens" cross the river south to Cochran Rd and meet at camp spot

The 2WD and Stock 4x4 group will be done first so I would recommend meeting the Built 4x4 group at the river crossing incase winching or recovery is needed due to road condition or water level form the other side.

The camp spot or spots I would recommend are centralized to all trails and car accessible for the most part.

Night Run Day Prior and After- go see all of the landmarks the 2WD group did, the river in the canyon looks amazing under a full moon.

I work the last weekends of January and the 15th is my birthday weekend so I doubt my wife will like that, she made plans with the family already so that leaves the 7th which is really close.

Option can be the 21st and make the Hackberry creek run a kick off run with 2wd on a different trail. Plus camping.

If Hackberry Creek is the proposed spot, the Oak Flats camp ground area is easily 2WD accessible. I think there are a couple easier 4x4 trails in the area. There is also an awesome/tough hike in the canyon, that I would personally be up for. The camp ground was semi-improved last time I was there. The drive up there is also really nice. It will be a little cold at night and their isn't any wood around. I would just factor in everyone brining some wood like last time.

Is this cool with the CSNE people? I feel like we are kind of taking over their run and making it into our own event since they in reality only have one of their rigs going.

Well Eron runs the CSNE side of the events and we wheel together so we are just combining them to have less little events and maybe more rigs.

Its no problem, I have done the FJ area dozens of times, I sent you some pics of my excursion from earlier this year. I have only been to Oak Flats/Hackberry a handful. I have always wanted to camp out there, especially now since its a further drive for me.

I imagine the area will eventually be closed off completely with the increased mining. It has changed a lot over the years, my dad said as a kid their use to be a ton of large trees at the camp ground area and that the small creek was always running.
