FJ Area Box Canyon Crusing Day Trip Sunday Dec 18th
« on: December 16, 2016, 12:29:19 PM »
I haven't been out in a while and I want to do a little desert wheeling. I'm proposing this Sunday for the day trip, but I'm open to any other day.

Proposed meet time: ~0800-0930

Proposed meet location: McDonalds/Shell Gas station
Address: 7138 S Mountainbrook Dr, Gold Canyon, AZ 85219

Proposed trail: Florence Junction Flag Pole North to South Box Canyon,

Optional Sites: Maybe Martinez mine/cabin hike, cruise Cochran Rd., land marks, etc.

Roads? Where we're going, we don't need roads.

I did a lot of exploring, I was looking for this old crossing that hooks up to Battle Axe road. I think I found the trail It looks likes its overgrown, and no signs of vehicle tracks. My buddy on his quad said it opens again further down the road.  After I almost got stuck I decided to call it a day. I think the rear locker and airing down saved the day for me.
