  • downs44: Got an 06 that just went through SMOD. Got everything replaced. Now my low oil pressure light is flickering on after the engine warms up and the truck is at idle. Doing some digging on the forums it looks like a common problem is the rear timing cover gallery gasket leaking and causes the symptoms. Looks like a 15 hour or so repair for a $50 part. Was wondering if anyone else has had this issue and any words of advise. To save some dialogue, the oil pressure sensor is about a year old and I changed the oil and filter after i noticed the light and that did not fix the issue.

Hello from Mesa
« on: December 28, 2016, 10:50:45 AM »
My name is Scott. I moved to the Phoenix/Mesa area back in August and just recently found the AZ Xterra Club web page. My wife and I moved here after she took a lateral transfer from her employer in San Diego. Shortly after arriving here in AZ I took a position at Tombstone Tactical in Phoenix.

We have enjoyed our time here in Arizona. Since being here we have gotten the chance to get out and check out Show Low, and Sedona. No wheeling was done in either place but I am looking forward to doing some with the group.

On to why everyone is here. I own a 2002 Xterra SE/XE (according to the title). It is shock blue in color and 4wd. It is in need of some repairs (shocks, rear brakes redone, leaks fixed, etc).

Lastly, I am a veteran of the US Navy, served from 05-13.

Welcome Scott, a salute to you from an AF vet. Lots of seaman and vets in the club.
Roads? Where we're going, we don't need roads.

I knew a EN or two. Meet one while I was in Chicago for Cargo Weapons Elevator school.
