  • PitSnipe (Kyle): Wow, I have not heard of this issue. 15 hour job for a $50 part is nuts. Hopefully someone that knows of this issue will speak up.

  • downs44: Got an 06 that just went through SMOD. Got everything replaced. Now my low oil pressure light is flickering on after the engine warms up and the truck is at idle. Doing some digging on the forums it looks like a common problem is the rear timing cover gallery gasket leaking and causes the symptoms. Looks like a 15 hour or so repair for a $50 part. Was wondering if anyone else has had this issue and any words of advise. To save some dialogue, the oil pressure sensor is about a year old and I changed the oil and filter after i noticed the light and that did not fix the issue.

Maybe since AZXC wasn't able to make the last recent cleanups, we can plan to gather as a small group, or even better, a large group to help out. Post up if you can or can not make this!

If we can get enough people, we will register as a group so we will have our own area of focus.

Boulders Clean-up Volunteer Registration Information

Saturday, April 29th, 2017 at Boulders OHV Recreation Area
Time: 8:00am – 2:00 pm
Where to meet - Boulders OHV Recreation Area

What to bring -  Water, work gloves, hat, sunscreen, trash pinchers, buckets and wear long pants and sturdy shoes.  4WD and OHV vehicles are useful. (Lunch for all volunteers will be provided)

Additional Info - The Boulders OHV Area is very popular with recreational target shooters, off-highway vehicle riders, equestrians, mountain bikers, hikers, and others because of its close proximity to the Phoenix area. Unfortunately, this area is also prone to illegal dumping, littering, and debris that needs to be cleaned up. This important work will help ensure future recreation opportunities to this popular area.

Yea, we could always show up earlier but I'm guessing they are hoping those late risers show.

I unfortunately will not be scouting. I have my annual camping trip with my old high school friends that weekend.

I do remember us planning that weekend to scout though.

So for those of us who will be in the valley on the 29th, perhaps we can get a group to show up for this cleanup and the attend the 4Wheel parts event. We can decide which but I'm guessing we'd rather do the cleanup first in the am. :)

My scout troop committed to going to this event...some off the boys won't show up until around 11am, but others will be coming with me when it starts. I'll do the best I can with my shoulder being broken, but I can help them coordinate and get cleaned up.

That's the plan. I just sent an email out to the parents to get an updated head count, a little earlier tonight. I believe we are at 2 scouts and 4 adults, and if that's all we have we may end up pushing our time to 11am.

Just got a message from the Treadlightly! team,

Hey Rob, according to our stewardship manager, it looks like this one is going to be postponed until October unfortunately. We have another in conjunction with the Friends of Redington Pass on April 22: http://www.friendsofredingtonpass.org/events.html
