Question about UCA's
« on: March 30, 2017, 02:42:32 PM »
Currently i am looking to replace my factory UCA's with the SPC ones. I currently running a 3" top mount spacer so i am wondering if this would be the best choice for my rig. Any pros and cons welcomed. Thanks in advance.

Spc is quiter easier/cheaper to maintain but sometimes the rubber boot catches coil bucket and rips. Depending on bushing geamotery.

Uniball amd heim styles don't need maintnence as often but when it does its a little more pricey. Sometimes get noisier after they start wearing out.

Is there a big performance difference between the OEM and the aftermarket? most of what im reading says its mainly for alignment but i have a solid alignment now with factory UCAs and people say it stops the coil bucket contact but from what i can see from pictures it still will not clear the coil bucket so it will still hit.

With a 3" spacer and SPC arms, cbc will definitely be reduced. Grind the coil bucket down some, the boot may tear at mid/full droop.

I would pay the extra for uniball imo
