I just googled CCW and found one in Chandler for $39.99. Four hour class. In and out.  Fingerprinting included.  The manual he used is available to purchase a hard copy or download a PDF from his website.  It is located on Chandler Blvd and (I think) 48th st.  Right next door to Merchant Firearms.  I did mine Nov 2016.  I also believe everyone needs at least a safety course before carrying.
Yep, they do a lot in Ahwatukee. Nice gun shop too.

I know I'm new here but since this is an AZ forum I had to check the gun section first when lurking.
I've been around guns most of my life and applied for my CCW permit the day I turned 21. I'm not the most experienced guy, nor the noobiest. I've heard many range "lawyers" and have even played one myself at times because I didn't know any better.
Recently I was exposed to a guy named Andrew Branca and his "Law of Self Defense" books, classes and other material. He is lawyer who advises other lawyers on self-defense cases (also he's a master class IDPA shooter).
Anyway - it really opened my eyes and completely changed what I thought I knew about self-defense law and staying out of legal trouble (criminal and civil). Just thought some of you might want to check his info out. I took a class - expensive yes but worth it. It looks like for AZ he just has some self defense notes (http://lawofselfdefense.com/product/self-defense-law-compilation/) and I'm not sure how info they have that isn't in his book.
No- I have no financial ties to Mr. Branca and he didn't ask me to write this and I pray I never need his services and I bet he couldn't pick me out of a police line-up but I'm glad I now know more than I did prior to learning from him.
Semper Fi and be safe,
VetxSquared (Richard)
[Mods - I looked kindasorta hard for rules about links to other sites and didn't see any - I understand if you have to edit or delete this post. Just trying to pass what I think is some good info on to others.]
