  • downs44: Got an 06 that just went through SMOD. Got everything replaced. Now my low oil pressure light is flickering on after the engine warms up and the truck is at idle. Doing some digging on the forums it looks like a common problem is the rear timing cover gallery gasket leaking and causes the symptoms. Looks like a 15 hour or so repair for a $50 part. Was wondering if anyone else has had this issue and any words of advise. To save some dialogue, the oil pressure sensor is about a year old and I changed the oil and filter after i noticed the light and that did not fix the issue.

March XCURSION CHILI COOK OFF, March 20th at Saguaro Lake 10AM
« on: February 02, 2010, 08:28:25 AM »
March is around the corner and who will win the bragging rights for best chili.

I believe Adam is the reigning champ, and intend to knock him off his thrown this year.

An idea some of us shared up at Lake Pleasant was to incorporate some wheeling on that day as well.

Suggested locations:
Table Mesa Rd
Coves at Saguaro Lake
Apache Trail to Roosevelt Lake

Everyone bring ideas/suggestions to the next meeting so we can get everything planned in advance.

MAKE it a great day!!!

I like the idea of having this at the coves - it would be cool to wheel to one of the coves and then have some chili.

Once you guys pick a date, I'll change it in the calendar (I just picked a date just to get it up there).
Both the 20th and 27th work for me.

I think you can merge this topic with the Poll one if you wanted.

Yey! I merged the two topics! Thanks Conundrum! I'm still learning...  ;)
Much cleaner now!

Looks like Saguaro is winning in the polls so far!
Can I bring my boat??? I bet the weather will be so perfect!

Make sure everyone has good lids on their chili. The first hill could get a little messy with pots of chili

I agree with Joe.  If we have the chili cookoff at the coves, we'll need to make sure the chili is in spill proof containers.  The first hillclimb can be bumpy.  Instead of the coves, we could hang out at the actual beach (where all the cars go).  The problem with that spot is, we can't wheel there, and you have to pay to park.

Another option could be to have the chili cookoff at our cleanup spot from the 4 Peaks Pickup (along Sycamore Creek).  If we choose this option, we'll have to check the weather - don't want to get caught on the wrong side of the creek during a flash flood!

I was thinking the same thing...the rocks might eat the chilli before it makes it to a cove.  What about that spot right before the water crossing where the people had the RV and were shooting when we did the cleanup?  We wouldn't have to worry about water level unless it's really flowin.

The Coves at Saguaro Lake on March 20th.

Meet at 10 AM, get to the cook off spot, set up a mini-camp and wheel from there.

Bring your best chili!!!

Ted would you be willing to lay out the details for where to meet?
