  • PitSnipe (Kyle): Hi everyone. It has been 27 days since my stroke. After intense physical therapy I have learned to walk again and now have the use of my left arm. Thank you for the kind words. Thank you to those that reached out and visited while I was in the hospital. I still have a long way to go, but I will be back on the trails soon.

Plan Revision Public Meetings (June 2017)

The Tonto National Forest will be hosting eight Plan Revision Public Meetings between June 13th - June 22nd to discuss development and ideas for revising the land and resource management plan (Forest Plan) and the wilderness recommendation process. These meeting will be held at different locations and times across the forest so find a date that works for you and come prepared to help plan out how to shape the Tonto National Forest moving into the future.

The Tonto National Forest published a Notice of Intent to develop the Revised Tonto National Forest Plan and associated Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) in the Federal Register on April 6, 2017.

The Forest Service has allocated a 45-day scoping period, which will end on Monday, May 23, 2017.  This is the first formal opportunity for the public to provide comments on the proposed action, or the need to change direction from current management of the Tonto National Forest.
