I say we combine all of the top choices and adventure wheel to a ghost town, set up an overnight camp, cook/eat good camp food, sit and drink beer and then go hiking in the morning.  ;)

We did something like this a while back, Adam, Adam's Fam, Wally and I. We spend the day exploring the area east of Peeples Valley (south of Prescott, east of Crown Kind, North of Lake Pleasant.) We found abandoned buildings in ghost towns, the "lost lake" which turned out to be a leaching pond, windmills, watering holes, a big white circus tent set up in the middle of nowhere and jeep trails that haven't been used in years. We found geocaches along the way, had lunch and explored on foot for a bit. I think we spent most of the day in 2WD on dirt roads, except for some of the old jeep trails. We had a blast. I think this is my favorite kind of wheeling... you never know what is around the next bend.  ;D

Nice!  Don't think I would want to grab that rock on the lower left side.......with that little guy hanging out there.

Cenobite... I think you should organize a Rattlesnake Wheeling day. Seems like you have a huge fan club...   ;) Pick a day, pick a location and post it up in the Non-AZXC Events. I bet you will have a great turn out!

Nice find RJCX !

It is a Great Basin Rattlesnake, found in the Kaibob Forest.

One of my favorite places to go and I spend a lot of my summer weekends up there.

I think  rather than planning a trip around rattlesnakes, I will go on a regular planned outing and find snakes that are found in that particular locale. Thats the good thing about AZ.  My hobbies are off-roading, snakes and mountain biking and you can head in any direction of the state and find perfect terrain for all 3 !

I have the uncanny ablility to find things like this.  I found a bark scorpion, not much more than an inch long in my friends backyard in the middle of the night and I was....shall we we say, half in the bag.

Count me in for a rattlesnake run.
