Lower Salt River Cleanup
« on: February 18, 2018, 09:25:22 AM »
Let's get a group going!

2nd Annual Green Friday Cleanup along the Lower Salt River on Friday, November 23rd from 8AM to Noon. Think differently about the day after Thanksgiving and start a new tradition.

Click the link to register and we'll send you additional details this fall: http://www.naturalrestorations.org/new-events-1/
As we get closer to November, we will send everyone directions to the staging area.

Last year, volunteers hiked along the river banks picking up 4,795 pounds of trash and recyclables from Granite Reef, Phon D Sutton, Coon Bluff, and Water Users Recreation Area along the Lower Salt River. Click the link to check out our 1st Green Friday: http://www.naturalrestorations.org/112417-trash-cleanup-project

Volunteers under the age of 18 are welcome, but they must be accompanied and supervised by a responsible adult. This is a great opportunity for youth groups & clubs! We can accommodate small & large groups.⠀

We would like to thank American Rivers, CopperPoint Insurance Companies, Desert Monsters Tours, Huppybar, LeBaron & Carroll Insurance, OdySea Aquarium Foundation, REI, REI Goodyear DC, Rubio's, Salt River Project, and the U.S. Forest Service-Tonto National Forest - Mesa Ranger District for their support of our program and this event.

I registered, but didn't make it. Apparently the wife and daughter already had plans and my son was fighting the idea of getting up early so I slept in.
