Overland Expo 2010 - April 16-18
« on: February 25, 2010, 11:30:15 PM »
The Overland Expo 2010 is in Amado, Arizona this year.  The event will run from April 16-18.  If you have ever been interested in turning your truck into an Expedition vehicle, this is THE place to be.

Here is the Overland Expo webite:  http://www.ovexpo.com

Where the heck is Amado?  It is on the I-19 south of Tucson in Santa Cruz County.

What do you guys think about the Overland Experience Package and the classes and seminars???

I'm not to sure about "Overland Driving- Women" I mean, why do they have separate classes for women on driving, recovery and spotting??? Unless it has anything to do with Kotex, high heals and painted nails, then I have no idea. Am I missing something?

Seminars that I would be interested in are Map and Compass, Overland Photography, and Medical Kits. I'd really be interested in everything. I'm always up to learn something!

So, does anyone know anything about these classes and what you get for $250 bucks?

Yeah, I'm not going to spend the money on the actual training stuff.  I'll do like i did last year:  hang out for awhile, and then go wheeling.  Does anyone know of a fun wheeling spot there or in the Tucson area?

Looks very cool. I'm gonna check my calendar and see if I can make this. It would be awesome.

My Family Doctor is the medical editor of the Overland Journal. He drives a Toyota Land Cruiser.

Ted, that should be fairly close to the Bull Springs road trail which is pretty cool.

Hey guys, I was going to post up a 'meet and greet' across all the nissan forums ie: thenewx, club xterra, expedition portal, Nissan offroad & ONAZ.  Just an informal post perhaps meeting before the event for breakfast and sometime in the afternoon to gather those who wanted to follow up with a run as you've suggested.  I don't know the area but it was suggested a little past the turnoff in Tubac or even just meet in the parking lot a little early.  Let me know what you think, I've been struggling with how to plan without any idea of the numbers involved.

Harry, Let me know if you need any help. I will definitely be at the Expo and would like to do a run after. I brought it up on NOR to see if anyone wanted to go to the Expo then hits some trails and then camp out around Tucson. So far no response?

Thanks Joe.  Dezurtrat's trail looks cool, keep it scenic and not to tough.

I don't want to mention it too many times seems whenever I want to make an event something pops up.

Unfortunately, I'm going to have to bow out on this one. I'm overextending myself right now.

Is anyone other than Harry and myself plan on going to the Expo, wheeling or camping?
