I am opening this up to suggestions.

Where would he members of AZXC like to go for CANVAZ?
Take a look at past years for the trails that we ran and where we camped.

Three years ago we hosted in Kingman.
Six years ago we hosted in Tucson.

What are you all thinking?

I will not be scouting so any suggestions assumes you have pre ran the trail or scouted out the campground.
Looks like members are leaning to the Wickenburg area. I have zero knowledge of that area but we have some members who are familiar.
As a volunteer event coordinator I trust these members to decide for us since I have zero time.

My suggested Trails:
    Wickenburg Mountains
    Vulture Mine
    Plomosa Mountains
    Dripping Springs
    Belmont Mountain
    Harqualala Peak

High percentage of these might be 4wd only.
Camp spot will be 2wd accessible with room for Small trailers.


Please post up any info or ideas.

Do we know who/how many from other states will be joining? Knowing a count will help pick camp grounds. Especially if they have some more relaxed wheelers that way we can find a place that may have multiple trail level offerings, similar to how SCCX did their CANVAZ in 2015.

This CANVAZ is short notice and most likely not a big turn out. Maybe 1-2 from cali 4-5 from Nevada.

Since Covid is still running rampant this could possible be cancelled.
We are still in the planning stages with the hopes that we can host CANVAZ 2020. With the limited trail options in the Wickenburg area we are looking at only 4x4 trails and to then make it possible for 2wd vehicles to be able to camp.

What about something out East? Oak Flat as a camping location with Montana Mtn, Pinal Mtn, Box Canyon with all it's fun stuff, and a few other trails near by.

Montana Mountain was a great 2WD friendly trail when we went back in 2018.
