This will be my first trip with the club. Could any tell me if extra fuel is needed?   I sure there is not a Am Pm market on every hill top!

Plus any gear that might br recommened by any of you folks that has been on this run?  I really do not know what to expect?

Remember where I am from (Fl) a over pass is consider a hill!

PS:   Where the beach and local surf shop (Ron Jon's Coco Beach) ???

I haven’t seen any AM PM's on the hill tops yet, either... thank God.

I don't know what the distance is according to the trail books or whatever, but I'd guess about 50 miles?? Give or take 100 miles???  ;D You'll have to look to be sure. Like I said, I have never done this trail, I don't know what to expect other than what the trail reviews say. But this is no Arizona Strip so you don't need to bring fuel. We always top off before we hit the dirt anyway.

There are no guarantees in wheeling... which is part of the thrill of wheeling.

There is always a chance we will get some butt-pucker wheeling in (butt-pucker is what happens when you get scared). You never know. Even on familiar trials. You have to be ready for anything.

I don't know what to expect either... but here are some guesses:

Nasty Arizona Pin strips... that's from experience of other ghost town runs.  You will scratch the heck out of your truck.
You’re going to be tired and dirty at the end of the day. Your truck will get nasty dusty/dirty inside, even if you have your windows up the whole time.
You will see a bit of articulation and/or hill climbs where all you see is blue sky.

Does anyone know what this trail is rated as according the wheeling Bible? I don't think it's a beginning trail by looking at the pics on the Internet.

Anyone else know what to expect???

We've got some issues going on here... one truck down, one car down, another truck needs a mod... that kind of thing... because of low interest, despite the 5 votes, we just don't want to rush to get everything fixed by Saturday morn to do a low interest run.

We may be able to do something on Sunday if we get everything squared away.

So, you guys that are left, have fun!  ;) It's suppose to be a great trail! Post pics... or it didn't happen.  ;D

Yeah, I voted, but I just can't make it this weekend (still trying to tackle an endless amount of projects at my new house).

I hope to make the May Xcursion.

This may be a dumb question, buuuuut, Is there a experianced member to lead the pack?  I sure there is some sort of club protocall on this?

I off this week and i usually don't have a clean week end to run. I will be there on the 24th for sure!

You’re experienced!  ;) You can lead!  ;)
Seriously... unless someone posts up, you’re the only one that has shown continued interest. It happens sometimes. Things come up for people. But someone may still post up saying they wanna go... I bet there is one out there...

Normally not a issue. But I know where we are going but I could tell you where the trail starts!
If memory serves there is un-improved road NW of phx that goes from the hard top to the Vulture Mine then twist up to wickenberg. But I am unsure.

Any way thats what my trop-map book says.

I guess the bigger question is?

How many peaple are we looking at?   Ahead count would be a good thing to see if we can even get this thing off the ground.
