  • PitSnipe (Kyle): Wow, I have not heard of this issue. 15 hour job for a $50 part is nuts. Hopefully someone that knows of this issue will speak up.

  • downs44: Got an 06 that just went through SMOD. Got everything replaced. Now my low oil pressure light is flickering on after the engine warms up and the truck is at idle. Doing some digging on the forums it looks like a common problem is the rear timing cover gallery gasket leaking and causes the symptoms. Looks like a 15 hour or so repair for a $50 part. Was wondering if anyone else has had this issue and any words of advise. To save some dialogue, the oil pressure sensor is about a year old and I changed the oil and filter after i noticed the light and that did not fix the issue.

For the final obstacle "Filter", you'll need a winch to get up. Or 40's and a solid axle w/ low gears..
I got your "Jeep thing", now it burns when I pee..

Great place I found to conform your factory skids to whatever they're protecting....!!!   :o

Didn't make it all the way up because at the time I had my Daughter with me sleeping in her car seat. Couldn't believe she could do that. lol

Had a great time, but you'll want lockers and skids as well as tires for Payette. Even now, I  don't think I would run it again. Just too much opportunity for failure. I probably could be convinced though. lol

Did this with a friend in an FJ and a Jeep a few years ago and as we were leaving a swarm of X's were starting the trail. It was definitely a stop 100 times and look really carefully trail. Go prepared or be ready to pay the price.

Thought i would share some footage of the easy parts at the beginning of the trail.

Looks like it would be more fun with a group but still i had fun: :D

It looks like your sliders got some good use on that trip.
Roads? Where we're going, we don't need roads.

Nice Vid! No sound?

Better remove those rear mud flaps. :)

I remember nothing but boulder fields when I went so that's looking a little tame vs my memory.

Like i said thats the easy side lol there is the harsh random boulders where your skids come in handy (which i don't have) lol
No sound because my brakes will make you turn down the volume anyways  :P
If the rocks take my mud flaps off it will be doing me a favor lol but yet to come off.

I wouldn't mind seeing more pics of Filter.  Definitely looks like my kind of obstacle too!
