  • Conundrum: lol, they're contagious and more lights coming on, worrying to see the oil pressure indicator and also the windshield washer fluid lights, however I'll just wait and see if it goes away when things dry out. Good thing I took it through emissions this morning. Never Fails. lol

  • Conundrum: Wow, with all the rain I've been in as well as flooding in the X on Fat Tire, I have a new issue. Set light blinking rapidly and goes away after restarting the engine. I did a little research and I guess the cruise actuator can get nasty and seems plausible since I went through a puddle on purpose on the right hand side and that made the set light for cruise start flashing again. I'll check it out after the rain stops. lol Have fun and be safe out there everyone.

Firebird
« on: July 02, 2010, 09:23:11 AM »
Location: White Tanks
Rating: 3.0
Vehicle Requirements: 33" tires, shackle/spacer lift, front/rear recovery points.

This is the second trail in the main wash of the White Tanks. Tax Collector is before and Ruler is after. This is a very short trail and can be driven by stock 4x4s. There are a few optional obstacles that make the trail enjoyable. Firebird ends at the flattened car where there is an access road and the beginning of Ruler across the way.

It says the White Tanks. I would assume the west side of the mountain. That is technically in my back yard so I think I am going to do some research and poke around.

So I talked to a few guys on a couple different off road forums and found out that all that is needed to Trust Land permit. Since I already have one I will start poking around.

If you want anyone to tag along, I'd be down.  Haven't wheeled that much out there.  I used to ride ATVs out by the White Tanks, but some of those lands have been closed to motorized traffic.
