  • PitSnipe (Kyle): Wow, I have not heard of this issue. 15 hour job for a $50 part is nuts. Hopefully someone that knows of this issue will speak up.

  • downs44: Got an 06 that just went through SMOD. Got everything replaced. Now my low oil pressure light is flickering on after the engine warms up and the truck is at idle. Doing some digging on the forums it looks like a common problem is the rear timing cover gallery gasket leaking and causes the symptoms. Looks like a 15 hour or so repair for a $50 part. Was wondering if anyone else has had this issue and any words of advise. To save some dialogue, the oil pressure sensor is about a year old and I changed the oil and filter after i noticed the light and that did not fix the issue.

They have a lot of craft beer this year, some new stuff.  If that aint your scene, man, bring your own flavor.

And watch for flying goldfish.

See you all tomorrow sometime.

Oh I'm sure one will surface. Seems to be a new tradition at this point...I wonder who it will be this year????

I'll likely cruise down to Start camp for a 'soda' or two with everyone at some point tomorrow late-afternoon. I have to meet Lindsey at the gas station in Tusayan around 8pm.

Lubed all the u-joints and ball joints this morning, checked fluid levels & topped off, ready to roll out in about 30 min. News said 50-60% chance of T-storms in the Valley and even better chances of some big storms up north. Bring jackets & tarps!!!

Unfortunately I can not make it again this year. Just could not get enough funds to kennel my dogs for the weekend, add to that I am still behind on my roof rack projects so I need to work through the weekend.

Bummer John.  Maybe next year.

I'll be heading up EARLY on Saturday, so no start camp shenanigans for me.  Some of you I'll see on Saturday morning, and the rest I'll see you out on the course.

Have a safe trip up the hill!

It was a good trip overall.  A few minor difficulties with the the Heep but it made it home under its own power.  I owe a big thaniks to Marcus and Brittany (regular spelling) for the infinite patience when my Heep decided to quit running and they picked me up.  I also Adam thanks for his patience and willingness to leave end camp immediately to go get my Heep.

Thanks everyone for coming out, bit of a fustercluck there when they stopped it but we ended up having a great night at camp once the rain stopped.

Good to see it made it home without being towed. As for the patience I am just happy that we happened to be coming up the highway when we did and was able to see you stranded.

Was a good time glad to see everybody that was able to make it out.
