  • PitSnipe (Kyle): Wow, I have not heard of this issue. 15 hour job for a $50 part is nuts. Hopefully someone that knows of this issue will speak up.

  • downs44: Got an 06 that just went through SMOD. Got everything replaced. Now my low oil pressure light is flickering on after the engine warms up and the truck is at idle. Doing some digging on the forums it looks like a common problem is the rear timing cover gallery gasket leaking and causes the symptoms. Looks like a 15 hour or so repair for a $50 part. Was wondering if anyone else has had this issue and any words of advise. To save some dialogue, the oil pressure sensor is about a year old and I changed the oil and filter after i noticed the light and that did not fix the issue.

Help with armor install?
« on: May 15, 2011, 06:21:10 PM »
So after several months, I finally have all my new and used pieces of armor together, but being an apartment dweller with limited tools, putting all the stuff on the rig is a bit of a challenge.  So if anyone can help me out with the dilemma, that'll be greatly appreciated! Obviously, beer and beer would be on me :)

I probably shouldn't have posted this right before leaving for a 2 week business trip :)

I am in Tempe, but rather flexible on distance.

If you wanna wait a week or 2, there is another 2nd gen guy that has a full set of skids I'll be helping him install. I'll post up details once I figure them out  ;)

Helping or just doing it?  LOL  HAHA yeah I gotta get my lazy ass up to Flagstaff and pick those up!  I need to plan going up these in the next week or two!  Yup and we can do the work in my driveway!  I want to do the skids and ARB bumper all at the same time!

Well, if this still hasn't happened, I'd go for it. I am two weeks into a 3 week trip again, so my response rate is off :)

Mine are installed, but let us know, I plan on ding shackles and adjusting my coil overs next weekend, July 9 and 10.

So maybe then?

Got back from the trip way late, couldn't make anything work. Will actually have a friend help me next Saturday, so I should be all set to get back on the trail next weekend! Thank you for the offers.

Then it'll wait until better weather. My shoulder hated me as it is. Definitely planning on showing up at Fat Tire, probably drag a couple of buddies along with me.

Not directed at anyone in particular, but please remember to leave room for riders and bikes if necessary, we're there to aid/assist primarily.
 :)
I got your "Jeep thing", now it burns when I pee..
