Thank you to those that reached out and visited while I was in the hospital. I still have a long way to go, but I will be back on the trails soon.

I guess I am out of the loop, what happened? So the forest service closed it down? I don't know the extent of it obviously, but closed completely??? Either way, I will wheel where ever is decided, I just have never done The Coves and it sounded like a goog place and a lot of fun.

Florence Junction should be the plan.  There are a few trails as T-Ray said so lets move the kick off run to there?  Any objections? 

This will prevent chaos at the coves!

What chaos is going on at The Coves? I really was looking forward to The Coves, can we keep it here?

The majority of the roads/trails at the Coves have effectively been closed for numerous reasons including: overuse, abuse, accidents, deaths, injury, garbage (human & non-human), fights, alcohol, and other mayhem/misuse of public lands. There is currently no use/travel management plan for the Coves, so the BLM and/or USFS have closed most of it until a use/travel managment plan is implemented.

Thanks T-ray, well that about sums it up, hopefully the USFS gets it figured out and we can get out there soon. It's sad that areas of enjoyement have to be closed because of peoples abuse, the few of us that respect the land and areas and use them correctly are the ones that suffer because of there stupidity, uhhhh! >:(

From what I read on the Jeep board, the FS has closed down some of the play spots and some of the hillclimbs.  It doesn't sound like everything is closed off, but it's not a free for all like it has been in the past.

It would be good if someone could prerun.

Here is the sticker for this run!

We need to decide on the color of this sticker. (I was thinking orange to keep with the AZXC color)  This will be a die-cut sticker!

You guys decide though.  Deadline will be the end of the month for a color choice.

Basha's in Gold Canyon is a good spot to meet & get last minute supplies.
