Good chance I might make it to this one, along with my Son and soon to be Daughter-in-Law. If they do not go I will probably tag along with someone.

Since we are under 20 people for this run, I will try to secure a group permit for us.

If you already purchased a permit, great since they are good for one year.  I will post up as soon as I walk out of the BLM office tomorrow morning.

A group permit is not something I want to be involved with.  We would be bringing undue attention to our simple run.

There is a bunch more red tape to deal with because this run becomes an "Event" in the eyes of the State of Arizona.  There is a whole bunch of stuff that we have to worry about if we hold an Event on State Trust Land.  It is much easier, and much less red tape to get individual permits.

Telling them when/where/what we are doing is not advisable.  Also, having to get lease holder permission to cross certain lands during our "Event" will not be easy.

IMO one person has created such a to do over this permit stuff, and trying to sabotage this event.  I understand that AZXC abides by the laws.

We as AZXC also state that we are not responsible for members actions.  So if someone goes out there without a permit who are we to stop them.  If we are going to start checking permits, we might as well start checking insurance, registration, credit reports, and for outstanding warrants.

You wheel at your own risk, getting a permit is advisable, if you chose not to then its your choice.

ONe person is trying to sabotage any event I try to put on (ie. CANVAZ) or talk crap behind my back for trying to organize an event, or the way I wheel, or other things.

Again that is my opinion of the situation, and when I hear from a number of members they have heard from this individual on facebook and PMs about this issue, get a life!

Sorry rant over!

Marcin, you are reading too much into this.  Someone mentioned that a permit is legally required for the trails we intend to run.  No one said that everyone must have a permit.  But, I definitely said everyone SHOULD have a permit (or a hunting license, if you can prove that you are actually hunting).

The reason I said that everyone SHOULD have a permit is because as a Club, we try to follow all the requirements for legally using the trails.  Of course the Club is not going to make the members actually produce their permits, as the Club is not responsible for it's members.  Each member is responsible for his/her own actions.

Ok spoke with the lady at the BLM office, it's to close to get a group group permit, 60 days is their rules.  That being said the forms that I received from people I'll be able to obtain the individual permits.  On my way to the office to print them out and get people's permits.

That's cool John!  It would be good to see you guys again.  If the family doesn't go, I've got an open seat for you.

Cool with the mudflaps and running boards?  I'm sure you said something to him just like you did when you gave me grief at Montana Mountain.   ;D
