So we decided at the meeting to sponsor GoneMoab 2013!

Few ideas were thrown around;

Bottled water for each trail
Joint BBQ with SCCX

Post your throughts so we can make a decision

Donate some of the recently recieved swag for the raffle, that cost AZXC zero dollars but still supporting.

Most people are smart enough to bring there own water.

BBQ isnt a bad idea.

The swag will be raffled to AZXC members.  So you are supporting the bbq?

I think the water bottles are a great idea.

I priced the water bottles its gonna be like 600 bucks.  There are 25 trails total and a case is 24 bottles so you need about 3-4 cases per trail.

The water with our logo on it is a cool idea, but does that help goneMoab pay it's bills?  I agree with Sunny that most people will bring water with them.  No to mention that 75-100 cases of water (3-4 cases on 25 trails), is big and heavy.  You would need a trailer just for the water.  If we want to give people something with our logo on it, we should think about keychains, screwdrivers, or tire gauges.

goneMoab needs money for expenses related to all the events / runs throughout the week (including the BBQ).

IMHO, we should give them money, and let them decide how they want / need to spend it.  The question becomes how much money do we give them to sponsor goneMoab?

We are gonna put the water in the back of Sunny's Frontier!  Problem solved there LOL.

I agree and John asked me if we want to chip in for the BBQ with SCCX.

Water will go in Marcins Uhaul trailer with his M205, etc...

What are the donation money levels for gonemoab? Last year we paid $501, maybe do money to the tune of $200 this year. I like the keychain idea but how much are those with AZXC logo, if you got 200 of them at $1 a piece thats $200 so thats $400 total, hmmm? Although keychains could be put in the goodie bag opening night.

How to decide what is good, gets our name out there and doesnt cost a ton???

Keep brainstorming we can come up with something good.

No to the MT tires.  I am also seeing water as being to expensive and cumbersome.  We should pitch in to help them pay bills, or take care of the bbq, and do something to get our name out.  I suggested frisbees or beach balls because everyone will end up playing with them, so hand out 50 of them and everyone will see our name.  key chains aren't bad, but i carry my keys in my pocket and hate adding to it.

Lets see what everyone else has to say but the BBQ is the best I think and we will have banners of AZXC there.  Sunny you can get our name out by being the cook during the bbq.
