  • downs44: Got an 06 that just went through SMOD. Got everything replaced. Now my low oil pressure light is flickering on after the engine warms up and the truck is at idle. Doing some digging on the forums it looks like a common problem is the rear timing cover gallery gasket leaking and causes the symptoms. Looks like a 15 hour or so repair for a $50 part. Was wondering if anyone else has had this issue and any words of advise. To save some dialogue, the oil pressure sensor is about a year old and I changed the oil and filter after i noticed the light and that did not fix the issue.

I thinking something with a truck/offroad related image on it might get more attention than just the state/flag logo.

Maybe somebody more creative than me could work up something using the Nissan burger? That would include all models, and as long as some reference to offroad is on there it should keep the rice burners at bay

I'm pretty sure there are some legal issues with using the Nissan logo. You would probably have to get permission from Nissan first.

Are we sticking with AZ Xterra Club? Or should it be inclusive of all Nissan Trucks?

I think for at least this year we will remain AZXC, the logo should can more inclusive to Nissan trucks but I think for now the name will remain AZXC.  This will be an issue of discussion for the upcoming meeting but I don't think we will be making a fast change, more of a brainstorming session of what can be done to make the club more inclusive.

Maybe at the bottom of Vince's design instead of azxterraclub.com it could say

"A Nissan Offroad Club" or something similar, so people understand its a all Nissan's club and not just X's.

Maybe put azxterraclub.com in the middle under AZXC...

Just a few suggestions, I cant make the meeting.

EDIT: Although the current design could stay with maybe some minor tweaks or adding that were all nissans, etc... The current one is the original and face of AZXC from the start.

Whoa, looks like I made it back from Douglas just in time  ;D

Stupid town has no Internet available in the rural areas over there. But sure, I was working on a design I'm more than willing to hand over, or even make changes if requested. This is where I was at:

Thanks for thinking of me Sunny!  ;D

Rev's design looks good also.

Maybe just have AZXC across the top and on the bottom where the line is angled have "Nissan Offroad Club"

Thanks!

I can whip up a change like that pretty easily. I'll take a look at it when I get home and post that up ;D

Nice Logo, could use some cleaning up like mine though.
Main thing I notice is the X in the background has no hood.
Also, the "CLUB" seems to be just slapped on there, which I don't like all that much.

Great choice for the starting image.

I really love the lineart to yours too! I hadn't been able to find a drawn Xterra before either. And I can't draw worth...

Yeah, that hood bugged me a lot too, I lost it to the reflection of the sun, though now that I'm thinking about it, I'm sure I could bring it back with some localized saturation effects prior to the cutout filter.

I was kind of fond of the stamped on "club" it reminded me of that effect you see on fast paced cartoons where the stamp is slammed on something really quick to deliver the punch. Doesn't carry the same effect in a still image though.

I had a concept before using the state flag cut out in the shape of the state. Would you maybe give me permission to color in your Xterra and try combining a few ideas to see how it comes out?

Keeping your web address on the sticker is vital IMO.

Helps if passerby or others on the trail if they want to look up the site and join AZXC.

Feel free to modify my design and/or take ideas from it.

So for a simplified idea for a sticker and to incorporate a few ideas I came up with something like this:

And I know off the bat, the big problem is that only the Xterra is represented. The problem is going to be coming up with representations of the other vehicles to incorporate into a good logo. I'd want them to have the same kind of feel, so either they'd all have to be similar line arts, or all be live shots. I'm really not comfortable with just incorporating pictures of peoples trucks without their permission too.

As far as real pictures go, I have permission from coatimundi01 to use the pictures of his X. If anyone with a Frontier/Titan/Pathfinder/etc... is willing to let me use their action shots for something, I'd be more than happy to try whipping something together with them real quick.

Thanks!

Rev maybe take out the Xterra altogether, the current design doesnt have it and we still get the point, then the X dilemma is eliminated.
