Im not. At all. ok not "based" but 90% of members are in phoenix. I dont have a problem with that. Its just hard to make every little event from my position.

Definitely, I know if we're planning on having meetings in Flagstaff for three months in a row during the summer I should be able to make one of them, but definitely not all of them. Maybe we should set up some kind of system... especially for the officers who miss any official meeting portion of the event? If anyone has a good camcorder (Mine doesn't work without a power supply) we could film the meeting and post them to a private YouTube channel so that everyone who was unable to attend can still get the gist of what happened and make any notes as needed for their position?

Just a thought ;D

First official trail run ever! Looking forward to it. Just hope something too insane isn't planned, I have no skids or sliders. Anything I need for my X before this run? Is a CB radio a must? Thanks for the input and looking forward to meeting my fellow X'ers

The camping will be held somewhere we can all get to with 2 wheel drive stock Xs, and no CB would be required for that.  There will also be separate trail runs they may require a better built rig, I don't personally know the runs down there as this will be my first time camping in Tucson.  However, I can bring a couple 2 way radios for you to use while on the trail if we do something your rig is capable of.  Welcome to the club and I look forward to meeting you on the trip.

I've also got a set of 4 2-way radios that anyone who needs one can borrow for the day.

One thing we would like anyone who can to bring is fire wood.  It will be chilly and AZXC has to have an awesome fire.  I will be loading up a hitch carrier but that wont be nearly enough.  Here are some places to pick up firewood cheaply in Phoenix.

Highs in the mid 70's and Lows in the low 40's upper 30's!

Do not forget to bring firewood, the club will be providing some but if the temps dip we will need a lot.  Also please bring water lots of water we will need to leave the campsite better than we found it and put out the fire completely!

So who is all in for this?

I am leaving Sat morning early from PHX.  So post up if you are leaving Fri or want to caravan early Saturday?

What time you guys leaving on Saturday? My wife gets off at 2? I was thinking of swinging by for the night? Do you guys normally setup camp and then do some wheeling? First time so not exactly sure how you guys "roll" no pun intended.

Some do trucks I'll be in a tent because of the dog.  Still need to get a heater for the tent!

Also just wanted to give everyone a heads up, I know the Google Map is telling everyone to take Grant off I-10 to cut through town but Grant is under major construction right now. Getting past Prince on I-10 and Grant Rd through Stone is just junk, not to mention through that area is like 50 stop lights.

My suggestion would be cutting through the north end of town. Get off on Ina Rd and take it all the way east to Kolb and then Kolb/Sabino Canyon down to Tanque Verde. You'll save a lot of time getting through town that way. Just watch out for the speed camera on Ina past 1st Ave.

Here's the altered route Map
